Staff and Management would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Years. As always we will be open everyday for people wishing to catch up with friends and family over the internet. The Bunker will be hosting the national finals for the Australian Community National Competition on Saturday and Sunday the 24th/25th of November.

There will be 18 teams involved with the Counter Strike finals. Saturdays competition start with two groups of 5 teams at 10am. A further 2 groups of 4 teams will start play at 5:30pm.

On Sunday, the final competition will kick off around 10am using 40 Pc's

The groups will be drawn out of a hat on Friday night around 7pm at TB.

The long awaited add-on for World of Warcraft is finally here. As most of you would know there have been signs up in most software stores advertising the pre-order sales for Burning Crusade for a little while now.

On Thursday the 11th of January 2007 the game will be available for purchase. For those of you who are interested we will have a limited number available for purchase in the shop. We already have a lot of pre-orders from people, if you would like to include yourself in that list so you don't miss out please send an email to bunker@thebunker.com.au with "Burning Crusade" in the subject.

I know a lot of people are keen to give the latest release from EA's Battlefield series a go, so I wanted to give you all a heads up. Battlefield 2142 will be available to play in store from the 19th of October onwards.

The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. Players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition.

Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies.

When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field.
